Abstract | ARCVIEW shapefiles depicting a variety of characteristics of the ground-water system of the Southern Red River Valley, Minnesota RHA study area.
Purpose | Geographic information systems (GIS) layers were created to cartographically depict and spatially analyze data used in the production of the Southern Red River Valley, Minnesota RHA study area, Part B. A Regional Hydrogeologic Assessment (RHA) is a systematic study of a multi-county region's geologic and ground-water resources. Geologic studies focus on near-surface deposits. Ground-water studies include flow systems, aquifer capacity, ground-water chemistry, and sand and gravel deposits. Sensitivity of near ground-water systems is estimated. The information is organized, analyzed, and displayed using GIS technology.
