This file represents the thickness between the top of each aquifer and the base of the nearest overlying recharge surface. A description of recharge surfaces is found in Figure 3, Plate 9.
Sensitivity estimates were created by calculating the vertical distance between the nearest overlying recharge surface and the top of the aquifer. The following grid calculations were used.

thickness of the protective layer between the aquifer and the nearest overlying
recharge surface, is described in Figure 3 of Plate 9. Sensitivity ratings are
applied as follows:

The
final raster was converted to a polygon shapefile.
Sensitivity interpretation was based on
overlapping estimated time of travel ranges as follows:

Orange - - High - - Weeks to years

Moderate - - Years to decades
Light green - - Low - - Decades to a
century
Dark green - - Very Low - - A century or more |
