Abstract |
This dataset consists of the locations of wells drilled within Benton County. The County Well Index (CWI) is a database that contains information about wells drilled throughout Minnesota, this data base was used to look at the geological descriptions of these wells. The information presented here is a subset of the CWI data that was downloaded from the Minnesota Geological Survey (MGS) in 2000. |

Attribute Accuracy |
The locational accuracy of these points varies. Some of the points were field checked down to the meter, others are the centroid of a 40, 10, ... acre parcel. See the complete CWI files ordered through the Minnesota Geological Survey for more detail. |

ArcView specific fields
include shape (i.e., feature type = point), area (0 for points), perimeter (0
for points), cwixxpt3_ (unique id for point, assigned by the Arc/INFO
software), cwixxpt3_i (an id usually assigned during theme creation). CWI point
