"I find it an interesting exercise to go into a supermarket and look down the long row where laundry detergents and cans of household pesticides and household cleaners are sold and to realize that every single drop in every single bottle that you see in that aisle is going to end up in a river. Because the whole idea when you use it in your home to clean things is to wash it down your drain and it will go into the sewage treatment plant and then it will be discharged into some river system somewhere. And if you don't feel good about that, then maybe we need to rethink the way we clean our homes, the way we wash our clothes, and look around us to see what kind of alternatives might exist for that."
