"Rivers reflect everything that's going on in their watersheds. And that has implications both upstream and downstream. And one of the things that we are seeing now that has collapsed cultures is the dead zone that's a function of what's happening way up in the watershed, and these are commercial fisherman that have gone out of business because 8,000 square miles of the Gulf is no longer sustains life because its anoxic, so these are, when we lose some of these ecosystem values that's when we realize what we lost."
