"As a farm boy that grew up in a rural landscape, we fished for creek chubs, and white suckers, and perch in a creek that no one would consider was a fishery. And living in Fargo-Moorhead and going down to the river frequently, you'd see a lot people that obviously didn't have the means to run out to Detroit Lakes to go fishing. They walk down to the river, and that's a big part of their life."
