"In the Twin Cities or in any urban area, sometimes the last wild places that are left are along stream and river corridors. If we are just careful in guarding these and are good stewards they can be wonderful opportunities for outdoor interactions right in the heart of the city. It's brought to you by the rivers and streams and creeks that are running through our urban areas as these last little islands of wilderness in an urban habitat. They're really just so important that we are now being more mindful of them and even spending time and energy reconstituting them and restoring them, restructuring-daylighting these creeks and streams to bring this natural environment right up close to people in the heart of the cities. It's very important and Minneapolis and St. Paul have a great resource right at their front door if they'll just be mindful of it."
