"What we're seeing here in just the short time we've had this model set up is meander migration occurring, and this is what defines the floodplain of a river. The deposition in the point bar on both of these areas is now on the downstream side, or the down valley side, of the meander. And as these meanders march their way down the valley, they'll establish a floodplain at approximately this elevation."
